Policy notice
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the 'Terms') govern the relationship between the operator of GPLX (the 'Company') and any user (the 'User') of the GPLX service (the 'Service'). GPLX is a digital report service that interprets a User's personality structure based on their responses. The result is a reference for self-understanding and communication; it is not a verdict on the User and it does not guarantee any future outcome.
This document is a GPLX policy notice. Wording and policy may be improved during operation; major changes will be announced separately.
Article 1. Purpose and Service Definition
These Terms set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and the User in connection with the Service, in accordance with the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions of the Republic of Korea and the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (the 'E-Commerce Act').
The Service interprets the User's responses across the R/W/P/G/L/B/X/D 8-trait activations, sub-activations, hidden axis, opposite-side activation, situation shifts, and surface gap, and presents the interpretation as a digital report. The main code and sub-code are short summary labels; the substantive reading lies in the activations and axis structure taken together.
Article 2. Scope of Use for Members and Non-members
GPLX may be used as a guest (non-registered User) and a sign-up is not required to take the free test or to view the free result.
- Guests (non-members) may take the test and view free results without creating an account.
- Paid Products are identified and granted on the basis of the email address provided at checkout; the User is responsible for entering an accurate email address.
- Access rights already issued for a given email may be re-issued or re-verified through the email access link flow on the site.
- The Company is not responsible for misdelivery or non-receipt caused by an email address that the User entered incorrectly.
Article 3. Nature of the Test Result
The GPLX result is a reference designed to support self-understanding and communication. It does not judge the User or any third party, and it does not guarantee any future outcome.
Compatibility and relationship reports are communication references that help two people read each other's response patterns; they do not predict the future of a relationship or any specific outcome between two people.
GPLX is not a substitute for medical, counseling, treatment, hiring-suitability, legal-advice, or relationship-outcome services. The User must not use the result for such purposes, and the Company assumes no responsibility for outcomes arising from such use.
Article 4. Paid Product Conditions
The Company displays the scope, price, and access period of each Paid Product on the product page in accordance with Article 13 of the E-Commerce Act (display and advertising obligations). Paid Products are digital content that is generated and made available immediately upon successful payment.
- Personal report line: free result, personal basic report, personal deep report, PDF keepsake report.
- Two-person comparison line: compatibility report and relationship report (both require the other party's result and the consent of both parties).
- Because Paid Products are digital content made available immediately upon payment, the right to withdraw the subscription may be restricted under Article 17(2)(5) of the E-Commerce Act once provision has begun; the detailed status-based rules are set out in the Refund Policy.
The PDF keepsake report is a product based on one personal result. It does not include the compatibility report or the relationship report; those are sold as separate products.
Article 5. Prohibited Conduct
The User shall not engage in any of the following conduct in connection with the Service.
- Automated collection, duplication, or scraping of results, questions, interpretive text, the code system, or payment information by crawlers, scripts, macros, or similar means.
- Resale, redistribution, translation, sublicensing, or any workaround of access controls for paid Reports without the Company's prior written consent.
- Impersonation or unauthorized use of another person's email, payment information, result link, or access right.
- Unauthorized access to the Service, or any act that interferes with the normal operation of the Service.
- Collection of GPLX questions, interpretive text, or the code system as machine-learning training data without the Company's prior written consent.
- Bulk use of the Service for corporate, institutional, or commercial purposes, including using a GPLX result as a basis for hiring, evaluation, or other decisions about a third party, without a separate written agreement with the Company.
Where any of the foregoing conduct is identified, the Company may suspend the relevant access right without prior notice and may seek damages and other remedies available under applicable law.
Article 6. Service Changes and Suspension
The Company may modify the Service, including its features, user interface, wording, prices, product configuration, and the scope of Reports, for operational or technical reasons. As a principle, the access scope of Reports already purchased is preserved, although presentation may change.
The Company may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service for scheduled maintenance, system upgrades, security incidents, or events of force majeure (including failures at upstream payment, hosting, or email providers). Where reasonably practicable, the Company will provide prior notice; otherwise notice will be given as soon as practicable after the event.
Article 7. Limitation of Liability
The Company is not liable for the free portions of the Service except as required by applicable law.
- The Company is not liable for outcomes arising from the User's use of a result for medical, counseling, treatment, hiring, legal-advice, or relationship-outcome purposes.
- The Company is not liable for outcomes arising from the User's voluntary sharing of a result link or screenshot with third parties.
- The Company is not liable for service interruption or data loss caused by force majeure, by failures or policy changes at upstream payment, hosting, or email providers, or by the User's own equipment or network.
- The Company is not liable for damages caused by information that the User entered inaccurately, including an incorrect email address.
The Company's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this Article excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for the Company's intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
Article 8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and the Service are governed by, and shall be construed in accordance with, the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms shall first be addressed by good-faith negotiation between the User and the Company.
If a dispute is not resolved by negotiation, the competent court shall be determined under the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea: the court of the User's domicile, the court with jurisdiction over the Company's principal place of business, or, by agreement of the parties, the Seoul Central District Court.
Article 9. Amendment of Terms
The Company may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law, including the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions and the E-Commerce Act. Where these Terms are amended, the Company will publish the amended Terms, the effective date, and the reason for the amendment on the Service at least seven (7) days before the effective date. Amendments that are material or disadvantageous to Users will be announced at least thirty (30) days in advance.
If a User does not agree to the amended Terms, the User may stop using the Service and request withdrawal. If the User continues to use the Service after the effective date without objecting to the amendment, the User is deemed to have accepted the amended Terms.
Article 10. Inquiries and Update Notice
For inquiries during use, or for issues related to payment, access rights, or refunds, please contact the support channels listed at the bottom of the site. Detailed rules on payment and refunds are set out in the Refund Policy; the handling of personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy; permitted and prohibited uses of GPLX content are set out in the Copyright and Sharing Policy.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy, and the Copyright and Sharing Policy may be updated as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced through site notices in accordance with Article 9 above.
