Copyright & Content Use Policy

This policy sets out how copyright and ownership in the GPLX service work, the scope of use that is permitted to users, and the procedures that apply to citation, institutional or commercial use, and reports of infringement. It applies together with the Terms of Service.

This document is a GPLX policy notice. Wording and policy may be improved during operation; major changes will be announced separately.

Article 1. Copyright and Ownership

All intellectual property in the works that make up the GPLX service is owned by the operator. This includes, but is not limited to, the items listed below.

  • The GPLX test questions (the current 96-item battery and any future additions or revisions).
  • The result language, interpretation blocks, and per-type descriptions.
  • The code system, including the R/W/P/G/L/B/X/D 8-trait taxonomy and the main-code and sub-code naming.
  • The report composition, layout, design, interface, and graphic assets.
  • The PDF keepsake report (text, layout, illustrations).
  • The measurement instrument's formulas, axis composition, and interpretation logic.

Use of these works outside the scope permitted by this policy or by separate written agreement is not allowed.

Article 2. Permitted Uses

Within the limits below, a user may freely use their own GPLX result for personal purposes.

  • Keeping and reviewing the result for personal self-understanding and record-keeping.
  • Taking screenshots of the result page or summary and sharing them on social media, messengers, or personal blogs.
  • Quoting parts of the result in the user's own writing or content, with attribution to GPLX.
  • Discussing the result with friends, family, or colleagues as conversation material.
  • Re-accessing one's own previously generated result, free of charge, through the email access link flow.

Article 3. Prohibited Uses

The following uses are not permitted without the operator's prior written consent.

  • Commercial reproduction, redistribution, resale, translation, or sublicensing of GPLX questions, result language, interpretation blocks, code system, type names, or report composition.
  • Unauthorized crawling, scraping, or other automated harvesting of results, questions, or interpretation content.
  • Mass collection or accumulation of multiple users' results by any means.
  • Posting an entire GPLX result page or PDF document on a public bulletin board, content platform, or commercial channel by anyone other than the result owner.
  • Commercial republication of GPLX result language or report composition in paid products, courses, training materials, or media.
  • Collecting GPLX content as machine-learning training data without consent.
  • Operating an imitation service that copies GPLX's look, logo, code system, or report structure.

Violations may be addressed through takedown requests, suspension of access, and claims for damages, in addition to any remedies available under applicable law.

Article 4. Citation and Attribution

When quoting or referencing GPLX content for non-commercial purposes, please include a clear attribution and avoid distorting the original context.

  • Attribute the source as: Source: GPLX.
  • Include the result URL or a screenshot where possible.
  • When excerpting interpretive text, take care that the meaning of the original passage is preserved.
  • Do not present GPLX content as your own work or as the work of a third party.

Article 5. Enterprise, Institutional, or Research Use

Any use of GPLX for enterprise, institutional, research, or other commercial purposes requires a separate written agreement with the operator.

  • Bulk collection or analysis of multiple users' results for HR, hiring, evaluation, or workforce planning.
  • Use of the interpretive text or the code system in textbooks, training materials, courses, or presentations.
  • Use of GPLX results as a basis for hiring, evaluation, or career decisions (note: this use is not recommended under the Terms of Service; responsibility rests with the user).
  • Academic or scientific research that uses GPLX questions, results, or interpretation content.
  • Media and press citations that go beyond brief quotation with attribution.

Please contact the operator through the support channel listed at the bottom of the site to discuss the terms of such use.

Article 6. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that your copyright, image rights, or personal information have been infringed in connection with the GPLX service, please contact the operator through the support channel listed at the bottom of the site.

  • Please include the URL or location of the alleged infringement.
  • Please include a description of the infringement and your relationship to the affected content.
  • Please include information sufficient to allow the operator to contact you for follow-up.
  • The operator will review the report within a reasonable period and may take down, suspend, or otherwise respond to the content at issue.
  • Bad-faith or knowingly false reports are at the notifier's own risk.
